Winchester – June 2025 – Get ready to don your apron, grab a glass of fizz, and have a good laugh — because Winchester Cookery School is officially opening its doors this summer.
Founded by award-winning private chefs and long-time friends Jay Geddes and Gary Morton Jones (aka the cheeky chef duo Dishy Dads), the school promises to be anything but your average cooking class. Expect bubbles and canapés on arrival, a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, plenty of family-friendly fun, and the chance to cook up a storm in the kitchen.
“We wanted to create a cookery school where anyone can come and have a great time — whether you’re a complete beginner, an ambitious foodie, or a parent looking for something different to do with the kids,” says Jay Geddes. “Good food should bring people together and make you smile — and that’s exactly what we’re about.

About the Chefs
Jay Geddes is an award-winning private chef with a career that’s seen him cook for everyone from The Royal Family and Beyoncé to global sports stars and rock legends. Known for his creativity, warmth, and fun-loving approach, Jay is also one half of the popular Dishy Dads chef duo, touring food festivals and events across the UK. When not in the kitchen, you’ll find him exploring local produce, championing mental health causes, and raising his young son.
Gary Morton Jones brings over 20 years of experience in top restaurants, private dining, and live event cooking. Renowned for his bold flavours and infectious energy, Gary is a passionate mentor and big believer in making cooking accessible to all. A proud dad himself, he’s on a mission to show that cooking with kids (and for kids) can be a whole lot of fun. Together with Jay, the pair regularly cook live on stage and host their Dishy Dads podcast.
